What are your needs with respect to being a Mom or Mom-to-be?

Finding others who are also loving being a mom to share ideas with and form play groups.

Recent memorable moment about mothering (either your own or others).

We recently bought our 15-month-old daughter a baby doll to prepare her for a real baby in the house (as if there is anything you can do to prepare anyone for a real baby!) We put her down to bed with her baby the first night and told her to kiss the baby good night. She seemed to drift off so we left the room and listened to the baby monitor. A few minutes later we heard her kiss the baby several more times then fall asleep. I completely melted - she is such a sweet little girl.

What do you do for self-care?

Once a week I get to leave my daughter at home with Daddy and go to a yoga class. It's blissful.

What would you like to give or receive at Mamashare?

Stories, advice, child care recommendations, information about local parenting resources and restaurants that feed kids for free - I'd love to share and receive all of the above.

What's your sense of community like?

Community is awesome. Parenting is a lot more fun when you can do it with friends.
